How to Get Ready for a House Cleaning — Two Pro Maids

A little preparation before the cleaners arrive changes how much of the visit goes into actual cleaning. None of it means cleaning before the cleaners come. It's mostly about clearing the way.

Pick up the clutter

Clothes on the floor, toys, dishes in the sink and stacks on the counter all have to be moved before a surface can be cleaned. Putting them away beforehand means the time you booked goes into the work you booked it for.

Put valuables away

Tuck away cash, jewelry and anything small and valuable. It's sensible practice whenever anyone is working in your home.

Move what's heavy, or let it be

For safety, our cleaners don't move heavy furniture or appliances, and they don't climb above a three-step ladder. If there's a spot under or behind something heavy that you'd like cleaned, move it before the appointment and we'll take care of the floor.

Tell us about anything special

A product you'd like us to use, a surface that needs care, pets, entry details or parking: mention them when you book, so nothing has to be worked out at the door.

Know the timing

Appointments come with an arrival window of roughly two hours, and payment is taken from the card on file once the clean is done. If your plans change, please give us at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or move the visit.

Rather leave it to us?

Book online whenever it suits you, or send us a message and we'll help you choose the right clean.
